iPhone Screen Replacement
Signs you need a new screen include cracked glass, lines or color patches, touch that doesn't respond in one area, or a black screen while the iPhone still rings. The display assembly is replaced and tested before the iPhone goes back to you.
Pro and Pro Max models have display features that standard models don't, such as ProMotion's smoother scrolling and, on recent Pro models, the Always-On display. iPhone Charging Port Repair
On iPhone 15 and later, the USB-C port handles charging, data transfer and wired accessories, so a failing port can show up as slow charging, a computer that won't recognize the iPhone, or wired accessories that cut out. On iPhone 14 and earlier, the Lightning port is prone to packed lint.

Pro features
Repairing an iPhone Pro or Pro Max
Pro and Pro Max models carry features that should be checked after a repair, and replacement parts don't all support them equally. A quick check at the counter, and again before you leave, catches anything that has changed.

On models that have it, check that the dimmed Lock Screen still appears when the iPhone is locked.

Buying or Selling a Used iPhone?
A lot of iPhones change hands between family members, friends and online sellers. Whether you're buying, selling or passing one down, a few checks tell you a great deal about its condition.
If a used iPhone needs a new battery or screen, it's often still worth buying at the right price. Read CELLTECH's guide to the iPhone "Unknown Part" message to understand what the service history is telling you.
In Settings, General, About, recent iPhones show whether parts such as the screen, battery or camera have been replaced.
In Settings, Battery, check the maximum capacity. On iPhone 15 and later, you can also see the cycle count under Settings, General, About.
Set it up and confirm it works before any money changes hands.
The seller should sign out of their Apple Account and turn off Find My before handing the iPhone over.
Look for dead pixels, lines or a yellow tint on a white background, and check that True Tone can be switched on in Control Center. A missing True Tone option often means the screen has been replaced.
Look for fogging behind the camera lenses, crackling speakers or a port that is slow to charge. On many models the SIM tray slot holds a liquid contact indicator that turns red after water exposure.
Take a photo with each lens, play audio and plug in a charger.
In Settings, General, About, look for Carrier Lock. "No SIM restrictions" means the iPhone works with any carrier. A locked iPhone may only work with the original carrier until it is unlocked.
Note the IMEI from Settings, General, About, and ask your carrier whether it is reported lost or stolen before you pay. A blocked iPhone may not connect to a cellular network.
Back it up, sign out of your Apple Account, then go to Settings, General, Transfer or Reset iPhone, and choose Erase All Content and Settings so the buyer starts fresh.
