Cell Phone Screen Repair at Galleria Dallas

An iPhone 7 with a spider web in one corner, a Galaxy S26 Ultra that slid off a food court table, a Pixel whose touch has gone patchy: CELLTECH Galleria Dallas replaces screens on iPhone 7 through iPhone 18 Pro Max (including iPhone SE, iPhone 16e and iPhone Air), Samsung Galaxy S21 through S26 Ultra and the Galaxy A series, and Google Pixel, Motorola and OnePlus cell phones. Shattered glass, a display gone black or striped, and touch that has stopped responding are all handled at the same counter.

Many screen repairs take as little as 20 minutes when the part for your model is in stock, so you can leave your cell phone with CELLTECH, carry on at the Galleria, and pick it up on your way out.

  • I dropped it in the car park on a Tuesday morning and had written the phone off in my head by lunchtime. They took it in, quoted me on the spot and handed it back the same afternoon with the old panel in a bag so I could see what had actually broken.

  • I put a full cup of coffee across the keyboard and had four years of work on there with no backup. They opened it the same day, cleaned the board properly rather than just drying it out, and every key on it still works months later.

  • The back was shattered end to end and pieces of it were coming away in my hand. I left it with them on my lunch break, came back after work, and there is no seam and no gap anywhere on it. You would not know it had happened.

What your screen is doing

Screen Problems CELLTECH Fixes at the Galleria

A "broken screen" covers more than cracked glass. CELLTECH's Galleria store repairs every one of the problems listed here, on iPhone, Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel and other Android cell phones. Open a row to see what each one usually means.

A black screen on a cell phone that still rings is usually a display fault, not a dead device. Read screen black but still on and why a cell phone screen flickers.

Including cracks spreading from a corner.

While the cell phone still rings, vibrates or plays notification sounds.

Such as green, pink or white vertical lines.

That spread over days.

Where one part of the screen won't respond.

Where apps open or text types on its own.

Flicker or an unstable image.

If this happened without a drop, a swollen battery may be pushing it up, so stop charging and have it checked.

Burn-in or a tired display panel, most often on older OLED screens.

Check the protector first

Is It the Screen, or Just the Screen Protector?

Before you worry about a screen repair, check whether the crack is in your screen protector rather than the screen itself. A tempered glass protector often cracks exactly as designed, taking the impact so the screen underneath survives.

If the protector comes off and the screen underneath is fine, you only need a new protector. If the screen is cracked too, the repair can be quoted at the same time.

  • Run a fingernail across the crack. If you feel an edge on the top layer, the protector may be what's cracked.
  • Look at the screen from an angle. A cracked protector often shows a thin layer with the crack in it.
  • If you're not sure, bring it to the Galleria store and ask. A new protector costs far less than a new screen.

Why it gets worse

Why Fixing a Cracked Screen Early Usually Costs Less

A cracked screen rarely stays the same. It usually gets worse, and the repair can become bigger as it does. Here's how damage typically progresses:

The glass cracks, but the display works normally. On some devices, the repair options are simpler while the display underneath is still intact.

The crack spreads, and the display starts showing lines, black spots or dead touch areas. Now the display itself is damaged, and the full display assembly needs replacing.

Glass chips away, letting dust and moisture reach the inside of the device, and sharp edges start catching your fingers.

Another drop on an already weakened screen can damage the frame or other parts too.

  • Once the display panel itself is damaged, the less involved repair is no longer an option. That's why getting a cracked screen checked early usually costs less than waiting.

By brand

Screen Repair by Brand for iPhone, Samsung and Android

Screens are built differently from brand to brand, and each one has features that should work properly after the repair. Here's what CELLTECH's Galleria store checks for each.

How it works

What Happens at the Counter

  1. The cell phone is checked first

The technician confirms whether it's the glass, the display, or something else, such as a battery pushing the screen up.

  2. You get a clear quote

You're told what's wrong and what it costs before any work begins. There's no obligation to go ahead.

  3. The screen is replaced

An OEM quality display for your model is fitted.

  4. It's tested before you leave

Touch, the display and your model's features are checked, and you're encouraged to test them yourself.

Before you leave

What to Test Before You Leave

Before you walk away from the counter, take a minute to try the new screen yourself. These are the checks worth running:

  • Touch in every corner and along the edges, including the keyboard.
  • Face ID, Touch ID or the fingerprint sensor.
  • Brightness at the lowest and highest settings.
  • Auto-brightness, which should dim and brighten the screen as the light around you changes.
  • The screen turning off when you hold the cell phone to your ear during a call.
  • The front camera and earpiece speaker, which sit at the top of the display.

How Long Does Screen Repair Take at Galleria Dallas?

Many screen repairs at CELLTECH Galleria Dallas take as little as 20 minutes when the screen for your model is in stock.

Some models and some kinds of damage take longer, such as a bent frame or a swollen battery. Call (214) 628-6019 with your model, or ask when you arrive, and the store will tell you where things stand.

If the screen for your model has to be ordered, you're told the expected wait before you leave the cell phone, and nothing is opened until you agree. On a quick repair, most people drop the device off, carry on shopping at the Galleria, and collect it on the way out.

Bring your passcode, so touch, Face ID or the fingerprint sensor can be tested on the new screen before you leave.

Pricing

How Much Does Screen Repair Cost at Galleria Dallas?

Screen repair prices depend on your exact model and what's damaged, so there's no single figure to give in advance. The main factors are:

Brand and model: Flagship and Pro screens cost more than older or standard models.

Display type: OLED displays generally cost more than LCD.

How far the damage has gone: Glass only, or the display underneath as well.

Other damage: A bent frame or a swollen battery from the same incident adds work.

Call the store with your model and a description, or bring the cell phone in for a no obligation quote. You can also use Get a Repair Quote. If you're weighing a repair against an upgrade, read whether to repair or replace a damaged cell phone.

Visiting Dallas

Visiting From Out of Town?

A cracked screen away from home is a different kind of problem. You need your cell phone for boarding passes, maps, ride shares and calls home. The Westin Galleria Dallas connects directly into the mall, and several other hotels are close by, so guests can bring a cracked screen to CELLTECH without a long trip across the city. Many screen repairs can be done in one visit, often before you travel on.

If your screen is too damaged to read and you need your contacts or files urgently, see how to recover contacts from a broken cell phone.

Your options

Apple Store or CELLTECH at the Galleria?

There's an Apple Store in Galleria Dallas as well. CELLTECH is an independent repair provider and isn't affiliated with Apple or Samsung. Which counter makes sense depends on your cell phone's coverage and how soon you need it back.

The Galleria store page explains how to decide.

CELLTECH may be the better fit when

  • Your iPhone is out of warranty, or it is an older model.
  • You'd rather not wait for an appointment, because CELLTECH can usually start today.
  • You also have a Samsung or Android screen to fix, since CELLTECH repairs them at the same counter.

The Apple Store may be the better route when

  • Your iPhone is covered by Apple's warranty or AppleCare+. Check that coverage first.

Protection

Protect the New Screen

A new screen is the one most worth protecting. CELLTECH's Galleria kiosk carries cases and cell phone accessories, so you can sort out protection before you leave.

  • A tempered glass screen protector takes the hit on a drop, and it's much cheaper to replace than a screen.
  • If your cell phone has an under-display fingerprint sensor, choose a protector designed for your model and test your fingerprint afterward.
  • A case with a raised edge around the screen keeps the glass off the ground if it lands face down.
