Cell Phone Screen Repair in Arlington at The Parks Mall

A spiderwebbed iPhone 16 Pro, a Galaxy S24 with a green line down the middle, a Pixel that only answers taps on half its glass: CELLTECH Arlington replaces screens on iPhone 7 through iPhone 18 Pro Max (including iPhone Duo), Samsung Galaxy S, A, Note, Z Fold and Z Flip models, Google Pixel and other Android cell phones, and tablets. Shattered glass, a black or striped display, dead touch and a screen from an earlier repair that never looked right are all handled at the same counter.

No appointment is needed. The screen is checked and you get a clear quote before any work begins, and many screen repairs take as little as 20 minutes when the part for your model is in stock, so you can leave the cell phone with CELLTECH and carry on around the mall while it's done.

  • I dropped it in the car park on a Tuesday morning and had written the phone off in my head by lunchtime. They took it in, quoted me on the spot and handed it back the same afternoon with the old panel in a bag so I could see what had actually broken.

  • It was down to twenty percent before lunch every single day and I assumed I was being sold a new battery whatever I said. They tested it in front of me first, showed me the health reading, then swapped it and had me out inside the hour.

  • I put a full cup of coffee across the keyboard and had four years of work on there with no backup. They opened it the same day, cleaned the board properly rather than just drying it out, and every key on it still works months later.

    MacBook Air liquid damage

  • The last place I used quoted one number on the phone and a different one at the counter. These people looked at the port, told me what it would cost before they touched anything, and that was exactly what I paid when I collected it.

  • The back was shattered end to end and pieces of it were coming away in my hand. I left it with them on my lunch break, came back after work, and there is no seam and no gap anywhere on it. You would not know it had happened.

    Pixel 8 back glass repair

  • What actually decided it for me was the 90 day malfunction warranty, because I had been burned by a cheap repair before that failed inside a fortnight. Nothing has gone wrong with this one, but I would have had somewhere to go if it had.

What your screen is doing

Screen Damage CELLTECH Repairs at The Parks Mall

Every repair starts with a check at the counter, because the visible crack isn't always the whole story. A drop can also bend the frame or damage the camera, and a lifting screen can mean a battery problem. For how the repair itself is done, see cell phone screen repair.

From a hairline crack to a full spiderweb.

While the cell phone still rings or vibrates.

Spreading across the display.

Dead touch areas or ghost touches.

Including from a previous low quality screen replacement. Read why a cell phone screen flickers.

If there was no drop, stop charging, because the battery may be swelling.

A shadow of the keyboard or status bar that stays on an OLED screen whatever is showing.

The protector may have taken the hit on its own, or the glass under it may be cracked too. The store checks with the protector off.

Liquid under the display needs a water damage check alongside the screen.

Myths and facts

Screen Repair Myths and Facts

There's a lot of confusing advice about cracked screens. Here are the facts behind the most common myths.

A screen repair doesn't normally touch your stored data. Your photos, apps and settings stay as they are. A backup is still wise.

On most modern cell phones, the glass, touch layer and display are bonded together, so the full display assembly is usually replaced.

Cracks usually spread, and once the display underneath is damaged, the repair gets bigger.

They aren't. Replacement screens vary in brightness, color, touch response and feature support, such as fingerprint sensors.

A protector absorbs scratches and some impact, but a hard drop on a corner can still crack the screen underneath.

If it still rings or vibrates, it's usually running and only the display has failed. Read iPhone screen black but still on.

A second look

Screen Repaired Somewhere Else, and Something's Not Right?

Not every screen repair turns out well. If your cell phone had its screen replaced elsewhere and you've noticed any of these, bring it to CELLTECH for a second look:

Some of these point to a lower grade replacement screen, and some to a fitting problem. The store checks the device and tells you what's causing it before quoting anything.

If True Tone is the only thing missing on an iPhone, read whether True Tone can be restored without the original screen before you decide.

  • The screen is noticeably dimmer than before, even at full brightness
  • A dark shadow or patch sits in one corner or along an edge
  • Colors look off, too yellow, too blue or washed out
  • Touch is laggy, misses taps, or registers taps you didn't make
  • The fingerprint sensor, Face ID or True Tone stopped working after the repair
  • The battery drains faster since the new screen went in
  • The screen sits unevenly, lifts at an edge, or leaves a gap

Pickup checks

How to Tell a Good Screen Repair When You Pick Up

Spend two minutes at the counter checking these before you leave. They'll tell you whether the repair was done well.

Set brightness to maximum and minimum. The screen should be bright at the top and even across the whole display at the bottom, with no shadows.

Open a white page. Look for tinted areas, spots or uneven patches.

Type a message. Every key should register, including the edges and corners.

Test unlocking. Try Face ID, Touch ID or your fingerprint sensor.

Make a quick call. The screen should turn off when you hold it to your ear, and the earpiece should sound clear.

Check the edges. The screen should sit flush with the frame, with no gap or raised corner.

While You Wait at The Parks Mall

The Parks Mall is Arlington's only indoor mall, and there's plenty to do while your screen is repaired.

Game day

Cracked Your Screen at a Game or Event in Arlington?

Arlington is home to AT&T Stadium and Globe Life Field, and plenty of screens get cracked on concrete steps, in parking lots and in crowds. If it happens to you:

Stop using a badly cracked screen with bare fingers. Loose glass can cut, so put a case on or cover the damaged area.

Back up your photos while the screen still works.

Check whether it still rings. If the screen is black but the cell phone is on, the display is the problem, not the whole device.

Call CELLTECH at (817) 538-9520 with your model to check parts before you drive over.

    Your coverage

    Independent Repair or Manufacturer Coverage?

CELLTECH is an independent repair provider and isn't affiliated with or authorized by Apple, Samsung or Google. If your cell phone is covered by a manufacturer warranty or a protection plan such as AppleCare+ or Samsung Care+, check that coverage first. For out-of-warranty devices and accidental damage, CELLTECH offers walk-in screen repair with the quote up front.

iPhone owners can check their coverage at checkcoverage.apple.com. Whichever route you choose, ask what kind of replacement screen will be fitted and what the warranty covers.

CELLTECH may suit you better if

your cell phone is out of warranty, the crack is accidental damage your plan doesn't cover, or you'd rather walk in without an appointment and have the screen done while you're at The Parks Mall.

Your manufacturer or plan may suit you better if

the device is still under its manufacturer warranty, AppleCare+ or Samsung Care+, and the plan covers the screen damage you have.
