    Screen repair, in store

  • I dropped it in the car park on a Tuesday morning and had written the phone off in my head by lunchtime. They took it in, quoted me on the spot and handed it back the same afternoon with the old panel in a bag so I could see what had actually broken.

    iPhone 14 Pro screen repair

  • It was down to twenty percent before lunch every single day and I assumed I was being sold a new battery whatever I said. They tested it in front of me first, showed me the health reading, then swapped it and had me out inside the hour.

    Tomas G.

    Galaxy S23 battery replacement

  • I put a full cup of coffee across the keyboard and had four years of work on there with no backup. They opened it the same day, cleaned the board properly rather than just drying it out, and every key on it still works months later.

    Priya N.

    MacBook Air liquid damage

  • The last place I used quoted one number on the phone and a different one at the counter. These people looked at the port, told me what it would cost before they touched anything, and that was exactly what I paid when I collected it.

    Kevin M.

    iPad 10th generation charging port

  • The back was shattered end to end and pieces of it were coming away in my hand. I left it with them on my lunch break, came back after work, and there is no seam and no gap anywhere on it. You would not know it had happened.

    Samuel O.

    Pixel 8 back glass repair

  • What actually decided it for me was the 90 day malfunction warranty, because I had been burned by a cheap repair before that failed inside a fortnight. Nothing has gone wrong with this one, but I would have had somewhere to go if it had.

Repairs

iPhone Repairs at CELLTECH Hurst

CELLTECH's Hurst store handles the iPhone repairs people need most. Each one starts with a check at the counter, because the obvious symptom isn't always the real fault: a black screen can be a display problem, and an iPhone that won't charge may need a battery rather than a port.

Not sure which repair you need? Describe the symptom when you call CELLTECH Hurst and the team will tell you whether the part for your model is in stock.

iPhone Screen Replacement

Cracked glass, green or white lines, a flickering display, touch that has stopped working in one area, or a black screen while the iPhone still rings and vibrates are all screen problems. The display assembly is replaced and tested for touch and brightness before the iPhone goes back to you.

If your screen has gone black but you can still hear notifications, your iPhone is probably still running and the display is the fault. Read iPhone screen black but still on, and see cell phone screen repair.

iPhone Battery Replacement

Go to Settings, then Battery, then Battery Health (on some versions, Battery Health & Charging). A maximum capacity around 80% or lower, a "Service" message, or sudden shutdowns with charge still showing usually mean the battery has worn out. On iPhone 15 and later models, you can also see the battery's cycle count under Settings, General, About.

A new battery restores daily battery life without changing anything else on the iPhone. Read 5 signs your iPhone battery needs a professional replacement and see battery replacement.

iPhone Charging Port Repair

iPhone 15 and later models charge through USB-C, while iPhone 14 and earlier use a Lightning port. Either one can collect pocket lint until the cable no longer seats properly, which leads to charging only at an angle, a cable that falls out, or no charging at all.

CELLTECH checks for debris, cable faults and battery problems before quoting a new port, because a cleaning is a much smaller job. See charging port repair.

iPhone Back Glass Repair

Apple changed how the back glass is attached starting with iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus, making it easier to replace on those and later models than on earlier designs. On iPhones with MagSafe, the charging coil sits under the glass, so test wireless charging after the repair.

iPhone Camera Repair

A cracked lens cover, blurry shots, a camera that won't focus, or an image that shakes after a drop can come from the lens glass or the camera module itself. CELLTECH checks which one before quoting.

Read why a cell phone camera won't focus after a drop, and see camera repair.

Water Damaged iPhone

If your iPhone got wet, don't plug it in while the port may be damp, don't use heat to dry it, and bring it in soon. Liquid damage takes longer to diagnose than a screen or battery repair, so don't expect a 20 minute turnaround.

iOS after a repair

What an Independent Repair Means for Your iPhone's Features

Apple builds some checks into iOS that show up after a repair. Knowing about them in advance means nothing catches you off guard.

Ask before you approve

Ask the technician which of these may apply to your repair before you say yes. A good repair shop will tell you plainly.

Parts and Service History

In Settings, General, About, recent iPhones list repaired parts and may label a replacement screen, battery or camera as "Unknown Part." The iPhone keeps working. The message simply records that the part didn't come from Apple's own repair channel.

Battery health reading

After some battery replacements, the Battery Health percentage may not display the same way it did before. CELLTECH's guide to the iPhone "Unknown Part" battery message explains what it means.

True Tone

True Tone adjusts the screen's color to the room's light. After a screen replacement it may need to be restored. Read how to restore iPhone True Tone without the original screen.

Face ID

Face ID hardware is paired to your specific iPhone, so it needs careful handling during a screen repair. More on that below.

Face ID

Face ID Stopped Working? Read This First

If Face ID stopped working after a drop, a spill or an earlier repair, the TrueDepth camera system at the top of the screen may be affected. Because Face ID parts are paired to each iPhone, repair options are more limited than for a screen or battery. It's worth having the iPhone assessed before paying for any other repair, so you know what's possible.

First, try the simple things. Clean the top edge of the screen, remove any case or protector that covers the sensors, and restart the iPhone. If Face ID still fails, read Face ID not working: professional diagnosis.

Apple or CELLTECH

Apple Genius Bar or CELLTECH?

Apple's retail stores, including Apple Southlake Town Square, offer Genius Bar support and repairs. CELLTECH is an independent repair provider and isn't affiliated with or authorized by Apple. Which option makes sense depends on your iPhone's coverage and what you need.

If your iPhone has coverage, CELLTECH would rather you use it than pay for a repair you didn't need.

CELLTECH may be the better fit when

  • Your iPhone is out of warranty, or the damage isn't covered.
  • You'd rather walk up without booking a slot and get a quote on the spot.
  • You're already at North East Mall and want the repair done while you shop.
  • You also have a Samsung or Android device that needs work, because CELLTECH repairs them at the same counter.

Apple may be the better route when

  • Your iPhone is covered by Apple's limited warranty or AppleCare+. You can check at checkcoverage.apple.com.
  • You want a repair carried out through Apple with Apple's own parts.

Your model

Which iPhone Do You Have?

The exact model decides the part, the price and the repair time. To find it, open Settings, tap General, then About, and look at Model Name. If the screen isn't readable, bring the iPhone in and the store will identify it for you.

Older models such as iPhone 11 and XR use LCD screens, while most newer models use OLED. That's one reason screen prices vary so much between generations.

See all Apple repairs on the iPhone repair page.

Before your visit

Before You Bring Your iPhone In

  • Back up to iCloud or a computer if the iPhone still works. Screen, battery and port repairs don't normally affect your data, but a backup is always wise.
  • Know your passcode. It's needed to test Face ID or Touch ID, the cameras and charging after the repair.
  • Don't erase the iPhone. A reset isn't needed for a hardware repair.
  • Check your coverage. If there's any chance you're covered by AppleCare+, check before paying for a repair.
  • Bring your cable if the problem is charging, so the accessory can be ruled in or out.

Turnaround

How Long Does iPhone Repair Take in Hurst?

Many iPhone screen and battery repairs at CELLTECH Hurst take as little as 20 minutes when the part for your model is in stock and no other damage turns up. Charging port, camera and back glass repairs can take longer, and liquid damage needs more diagnosis. Call (817) 768-8112 with your model to check parts before you drive over.

Pricing

How Much Does an iPhone Repair Cost in Hurst?

iPhone repair prices depend on the model, the part, and whether anything else was damaged in the same drop. Pro and Pro Max screens generally cost more than screens for standard or older models, and OLED displays cost more than LCD. CELLTECH inspects the iPhone and gives you a clear quote before any work starts. Call the store with your model, or use Get a Repair Quote.

Repair or upgrade

Repair Your iPhone or Upgrade?

If your iPhone still does what you need and only one part has failed, a repair usually costs far less than a new iPhone, and you keep your apps, photos and settings.

An upgrade can make more sense when several parts are damaged, when your model no longer receives the iOS updates you need, or when the repair quote gets close to the cost of a newer device.
